Who I am

Being born and raised in Curaçao taught me that it is not enough to be strong, resilient, and passionate. To truly foster change, you must also know how to use the power of your voice.

I’m a United Nations Youth Representative on Human Rights & Security, based in the center of Dutch politics; The Hague, NL.

I’ve worked with and for young people throughout my career. After being nationally elected to the Youth Parliament of Curaçao, I realized that, as a young person, you can speak up, you can get democratically elected, and you can protest, but at the end of the day, if the older generation doesn’t want to listen to young people then you truly cannot do much about it. Ever since then, I’ve made it my mission to fight for meaningful youth participation from a top-down approach.

Through my work as a UN Youth Representative, I strive to create opportunities for young people to have their voices heard and to be active participants in decision-making processes that affect their lives. I believe that by investing in young people, we can create a society that works for all of us.

I am committed to working with organizations and individuals who share my passion for youth engagement and am dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of young people worldwide.
